 You may have been a part of church campaigns in the past where you were asked to give “above and beyond” your normal giving to fund special initiatives, like a new building. You designated your gifts, for example, to the “Operating Budget / General Fund” or the “Building Fund”. 

Through One Fund, 1GMC will merge these gifts into one single commitment. This allows greater flexibility to fund our current ministry needs, like the Operating Budget / General Fund. First and foremost…we need to keep the lights on! 

Once our current ministry needs are funded for the month, whatever commitment remains will go to our future ministry needs, which will include the new building.

WHY A ONE FUND?

We chose a One-Fund approach because our giving is ultimately to God through our church, trusting that He will use 1GMC as a vessel to carry out His purpose. 

Just like filling a bucket, our goal is to pour into this fund with generous hearts, knowing that once it is full, it will overflow into every area where it’s needed most. 

This isn’t just about meeting budgets—it’s about faithful, wholehearted generosity to God, believing He multiplies what we give for His Kingdom work.
